The City of Blue Ash was notified in December that its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for fiscal year ending December 31, 2008 qualifies for a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting.

This Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government, its Council, and its management. This prestigious award is presented by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada. Blue Ash’s CAFR has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, including demonstration of a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story.

The Award is presented to the individual primarily responsible for preparing the award-winning CAFR: Sherry L. Poppe, CPA, Deputy Treasurer. This year’s award represents Mrs. Poppe’s eleventh consecutive, and Blue Ash’s 22nd consecutive. Click here to see the 2008 CAFR Report.
