Traffic alert: Kenwood Road bridge closure begins on June 3

The Kenwood Road bridge between Pfeiffer Road and Zig Zag Road will be closed beginning on June 3, 2024, for construction. The closure is expected to last two and a half months.

The work will consist of reconstructing the existing failing bridge and rebuilding the pedestrian bridge. 

Due to the extensive work and the lack of safe space for motorists and pedestrians, both Kenwood Road and the sidewalk will be closed at the bridge in both directions for the duration of the construction. 

The detour will be Glendale Milford Road to Reed Hartman Highway to Malsbary Road, and vice versa. Click here to view a PDF of the detour map.
